608's band has been asked to perform at 704's ACR on Saturday 1st June 2019. 1800hrs-2100hrs - Practice at Marc Garneau High School. This is a regular parade night for 704. 608 cadets are to wear civilian clothing (squadron shirt preferable). Saturday 1st June 2019 0930hrs-1530hrs(approx end) - Lunch will be provided. Cadets are to arrive in appropriate civilian clothing with their uniform. Parking may be an issue as there is a motorcycle ride scheduled for the morning. We apologize for the late notice of added commitment. Cadets are to do their best to make it to practice but are more than welcome to only attend the ACR as it will be a combined effort with their band. We were offered to perform at 3 other unit's ACR and we wanted to make sure we picked the best one that benefits the squadron and fits into the aim of our band program. Friday 24th May 2019
5:00pm-8:00pm - Band Practice, Flag Party Practice, Static Display Set-Up, Uniform Prep. This will take place at the Armouries. This time will be used for the band & flag party to practice. Drill Team will practice their silent routine Saturday Morning. Cadets will be needed to assist with the set-up of static displays to include but not limited to: marksmanship, sports, orienteering, instructional aids, band, drill, posters, slideshow, etc. There will also be last minute uniform exchanges and assistance for cadets that need help with sewing, polishing boots, ironing pants (all required items to complete these tasks will need to be brought in). Saturday morning, 25th May 2019, cadets are to be at the Armouries in appropriate civilian clothing for set-up and a final run-though for 9:30am. Wednesday 22nd May 2019
Cadets are to add the following songs to their march pack. If cadets do not have the required music, there will be copies and pages available this Wednesday. There will be a band practice this Friday 24th May 2019 5:00pm-8:00pm. A location will be determined by Wednesday. Either at the Armouries or at the Legion. 0930hrs - Depart Belleville Armouries via bus 1000hrs - 1145hrs - National Air Force Museum of Canada 1200hrs - 1245hrs - Lunch at Yukon Galley 1300hrs - 2 AMU Report 2 hours prior to flight 1500hrs - Aircraft Famil Flight 1615hrs - Disembark and board bus for return home 1635hrs - Arrive at Belleville Armouries Dress - C2 (Uniform with ribbons) Museum Tour and Lunch are provided at no cost to cadets. Only the cadets that have prearranged with the CO will be attending this activity. Wednesday 8th, 15th, 22nd May 2019
The Royal Canadian Legion has confirmed we may use the big upstairs room for the next three Wednesdays. Cadets may be dropped off and picked up there at our regular times. Any Band members who need to pick up instruments or equipment should come to the Armouries at 1715hrs on Wednesday. The dress will be winter uniform dress until it warms up. Friday Practices All Friday practices will be cancelled for the remainder of the year. There will be a practice in the morning of Saturday 25th May before our ACR. A band practice will be determined before the Deseronto Memorial Service on Saturday 8th June 2019. |
