The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine supersonic multirole fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics for the United States Air Force (USAF). Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots and ground crews from the 119th Fighter Squadron (New Jerseys Air National Guard) perform pre-flight takeoffs and landings. Filmed at Nellis Air Force Base during air combat exercise Red Flag 16-3 on July 27, 2016.

END OF ENGLISH TEXT / DÉBUT DU TEXTE EN FRANÇAIS Harry Andringa was only 9 years old and living in Holland when Adolf Hitler's Nazis invaded the Netherlands. Harry's family endured the horrors and atrocities of the Nazi regime for 5 years until Holland was liberated by the Allies.
Many families including Harry's hid Jewish children to prevent them from being sent to concentration camps. This documentary includes a interview with Harry and supported by vintage war footage from the Canadian Army Newsreels - courtesy of the National Film Board of Canada. Harry used to visit local schools during Remembrance Day services and other times when he was invited to talk to students about WWII. His story is preserved in this documentary so it will not be forgotten. Please share with others. Thank You! For more information please visit: http://www.harrysstory.ca Good Morning Everyone, I would like to share the good news that this year, the UCDSB-lead program in which cadets in RCSU Central can obtain high school credits during the training year, will be expanded to include all areas of RCSU Central. Although the program is lead by UCDSB, cadets do not need to be students of that board to participate. Any Ontario high school student in any school board (English, French, Catholic, or Public) may participate as long as they have already obtained at least one high school credit, or will have one credit by the end of June 2021, and reside in Ontario. How it works is that cadets, once registered, can obtain up to 4 credits per training year based on the work, participation, and attendance of any cadet activity including mandatory, complementary, and optional training. Virtual training is included. For every 90 hours logged with cadet related activities, one credit can be granted. Credits are tailored to match a cadet’s interests and involvement. For example, Phys Ed credits, History credits, and Music credits are all possible, based on what activities the cadet routinely participates. Cadets will also complete the pre-placement assignments and a monthly journal entry. Attached is the registration form for cadets, as well as an FAQ sheet. I would ask if you can help spread the word by passing these along to cadets and parents within your corps or squadron. Please let me know if you or any cadets/ parents have any questions. Cheers, Sandy McDonald Major AEA OSLA ![]()
