Wednesday 17th April 2019 Update: Tunics are to be worn A pop-bottle rocket activity has been planned for this Wednesday. Cadets are to wear their boots, pants, wedge, and dark blue t-shirt (with tunic). Instead of the button up short sleeve shirt and tie, cadets are to wear an issued dark navy blue t shirt. If cadets don't have the dark navy blue shirt issued, they may wear their 608 squadron blue shirt, plain white shirt, or plain black shirt. If a cadet has none of the above, they're to wear their short-sleeve button up shirt and tie. A parka inner and/or outer is highly suggested to wear with this order of dress. Monday 15th April 2019
Unfortunately the Ground School Instructor will be unavailable to instruct this evening. Saturday 20th April 2019
Our gliding days are chosen by the region and unfortunately our Spring Gliding date falls on Easter weekend. Transportation and meals have been added to this activity. A bus will depart the Belleville Armouries at 0815hrs and return at approx 1630hrs (4:30pm). Lunch will be provided, but cadets are always encouraged to bring snacks. Cadets that use their own transportation will be added to the end of the flight order. Our quota is 75 cadets. Rounded to 80, that give us 40 flights in the Fall and 40 flights in the Spring. Priority for flights will be determined by time enrolled in 608 and number of flights previously flown. Cadets with 0 gliding flights will be giving priority for flights. Cadets are also encouraged to bring games, sports balls, etc to keep themselves entertained as there will be a lot of downtime when not flying. Note: Only 40 cadets will be able to attend this activity. The sign-up sheet will be re-posted reflecting the new information. There are currently more than 40 signed up, so the DCO will be confirming final attendance over the next couple of weeks. Friday 5th April 2019
By request of the drill team, there will be a practice from 1200hrs-1400hrs before the Friday Tag Day shift. Cadets are to arrive in civilian clothing with their uniform. A pizza snack will be provided by the CO. The competition is Saturday 27th April 2019. Wednesday 3rd April 2019
Dress is C1 (full uniform, tunic with medals). Cadets unable to attend are to fill out an Attendance Notification. Just a reminder that attendance is mandatory. Attendance is used for awards, promotions, priority for participation in optional and summer activities. Cadets that have not attended in 30 days will be struck-off-strength (SOS). |
